“It’s better to be unhappy alone, than unhappy with someone so far.” Marilyn Monroe
“PARIS — The music industry, the first media business to be consumed by the digital revolution, said Tuesday that its global sales had risen last year for the first time since 1999, raising hopes that a long-sought recovery might have finally begun.”
“Google has no plans to join Apple and Microsoft in opening retail stores, the company said today.”
A store would’ve been kind of cool though….
“MC Hammer was arrested in Northern California on Thursday for allegedly obstructing an officer, CNN reports. The rapper made the arrest known on Saturday with a series of tweets suggesting that he was a victim of racial profiling.
Hammer (who was born Stanley Kirk Burrell) was reportedly sitting in a car outside a shopping center in Dublin, a city east of Oakland, when he was approached by a police officer. “Chubby elvis looking dude was tapping on my car window, I rolled down the window and he said ‘Are you on parole or probation?’” Hammer recounted on Twitter.”
They can arrest someone for the color of their skin, but they can’t arrest people who beat on or kill innocent people how sad.
“In a family of vocalists, it was Cleotha Staples’ smooth and velvety voice that helped set apart the sound of the influential and best-selling gospel group The Staple Singers.
Staples, the eldest sister and member of the group her father Roebuck “Pops” Staples started in the 1940s, died Thursday at age 78. She was at her Chicago home and had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for the past decade, said family friend and music publicist Bill Carpenter.”
Rest in peace ♥
“An African-American nurse is suing a Michigan hospital after she says staff there agreed to a swastika-tattooed father’s request that no black nurses care for his new baby. Tonya B., 49, sued the board of hospital managers of Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Mich., and Mary O., a nurse manager, on discrimination grounds after Battle said she was reassigned to accommodate the father’s request.”
Can see it if this nurse was sick with something contagious, or she was abusive, and the father not wanting her to take care of his child, but over her skin color!!!? Yet it is his baby though.
What are you doing positive in your life to make yourself
Have a great week everyone ♥
