Alyssa Barrett, 17, Charged In The Murder Of Her Mother, ‘Flight Attendant DeCarol Deloney-Cain’? Rest In Peace DeCarol Deloney-Cain

“The pregnant teen daughter of an flight attendant, whose body was found stuffed in the trunk of her car earlier this month, has been charged in her mother’s murder.

Alyssa Barrett, the 17-year-old daughter of DeCarol Deloney-Cain, was arrested and charged with murder Wednesday, said Gary police. Deloney-Cain was stabbed to death in her home on July 3.

Barrett’s arrest comes just days after her 18-year-old boyfriend Damarus Wren — also known as Damarius McGriggs — was collared on first-degree murder charges in Deloney-Cain’s slaying.

Wren told police that he killed Barrett’s mother because she wanted her daughter to abort their baby, according to the probable cause affidavit obtained by the Chicago Sun Times.

The paper reported that Barrett had also “frequently talked of robbing and/or killing her mother,” according to court records.

The young couple allegedly planned their grisly attack around when the 54-year-old United Airlines veteran would be paid.

Wren allegedly then covered Deloney-Cain’s head with a pillow case inside the woman’s Crown Point home before smashing it against a basement staircase.
She was then stabbed to death before her body was loaded into her vehicle and abandoned.”
