VMA nominee Justin Timberlake was joined by his former *NSYNC bandmates, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for a highly anticipated reunion. Rumors began swirling in the days leading up to the VMAs that the famed boy band would perform, but the hype was never confirmed by anyone in Timberlake’s or MTV’s camps.
Timberlake was celebrated at the VMAs with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, an honor that brought the members of *NSYNC together. The men performed parts of “Bye, Bye, Bye” and “Girlfriend.” After *NSYNC released their last studio album in 2001, appearances by all five members of the group have been rare. ”

MTV moves up awards show?

MTV has moved up the start of its annual Video Music Awards so its fans won’t have to choose between pop stars and President Barack Obama.

The show is airing Thursday, the night Obama accepts the Democratic nomination for another term as president. But MTV says it’s running the show an hour earlier than it usually does to not conflict with Obama’s speech.

The show will run from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern time. The president is scheduled to speak after 10 p.m.
