Walmart Flash Mob 300 Youths at Jacksonville Store

Youths who had their house party broken up by the cops quickly moved the rager to a nearby Jacksonville Walmart on Saturday night, creating a veritable flash mob, according to News 4JAX.

A police report obtained by the station said the group of about 300 destroyed an electronic anti-shop lifting security scanner that costs about $1,500.
The Florida Times Union reports that the youngsters also allegedly stole snacks and sodas from the store and that gunshots were fired into the air outside the Walmart, but no one was injured.

Police are looking over video of the incident to determine if charges will be filed, and there was also a report that someone was shot at the preceding house party. Both incidents are under investigation, according to the Times Union.

Video of the Walmart flash mob posted on YouTube generated a number of racially-tinged comments about the mostly African-Americans featured in the clip.

You got to love racist/judgemental people, they’re the only ones on earth who can do no wrong (Laughs). Yeah right!

Target won’t sell Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange

Frank Ocean’s album may currently be the most buzzed about disc in music, but Target isn’t interested. Billboard reports the discount retail giant announced it will not sell Channel Orange, claiming the decision was a reaction to iTunes’ one-week exclusive. Many are wondering, however, if the move was actually inspired by the fact that Ocean recently came out.
Ocean’s first studio album hit iTunes after the R&B singer’s surprise appearance on

Tuesday’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” a full week before previously planned. Of course, this meant that brick and mortar retailers would lose out on that first week’s sales.

The claims made about Target’s decision to not carry the Frank Ocean album are absolutely false. Target supports inclusivity and diversity in every aspect of our business. Our assortment decisions are based on a number of factors, including guest demand.

Target has a longstanding tradition of supporting music and artistry that reflects the diverse landscape of American culture. Our history of partnering with diverse artists includes recent partnerships with a variety of musicians, such as Ricky Martin, B.o.B., and Gloria Estefan.
